Thanks for your idea, Dianne!

The biggest issue is time — time from all of the organizations who do things at FamilyFest and SplashFest, from the bands who play at RockFest, and from all of the volunteers who turn out for the event.

Everybody donates their time to make IPFW RiverFest a success. Asking them all for two days instead of one is just asking for too much.

I’ve yet to be able to go to Riverfest. Why isn’t it held for 2 days instead of just one? You go to all the trouble setting up everything, why not extend it over until the the next day? Couldn’t it be held on Saturday AND Sunday next year?

Thanks for your question, Connie! The fireworks will go up from the west side of the river, on the far side of the bridge from where pretty much everything happened at RiverFest today.

You can get a good view of them from just about anywhere in the RockFest, FamilyFest, or ArtFest areas. (Honestly, it’s hard to find a bad place to see tonight’s fireworks.)
